RE: Using Kebamos Recipes Questions

I agree with Dianne and Tom...No offense, you can post as many recipes as you want, but when you copy and past 20 recipes in a single thread, it definately makes you look like you haven't tried them, and are a little lonely and bored and looking for conversation (which is absolutely fine, nothing wrong with that at all, don't get me wrong, but if you want input on "your" recipes, make it personal, tell us why they're your favorites, what YOU personally changed etc. etc.)
...Just keep it real Karl.
EDIT...EDIT...
Man, just went through your post history...to emphasize what I'm trying to say...you never reply or give advice to anyone elses posts/threads on recipes, you just post and post and post "your" recipes and look for responses.
...a bit Narcissistic, don't you think?

RE: Dodge Ram 2500

But you are talking about a Cummins. As a whole, though not every year, best diesel on the market.
...and just for S and G's...exactly what years were suspect?
Not being antagonistic here, I really want to know.

RE: Dodge Ram 2500

The way I look at it is it's a great engine wrappred in a peice of junk.
Yep...pretty obvious, YOU asked to have pointed out that you said all Dodge's were garbage...I think that's close enough, now you get all whiney because you got called on it??
Give me a break.
You asked for it, get over it.

Sweet and Sour Cabbage Soup Recipe?

Trying to locate a specific recipe for my ex.
I tried google search, and ingredient search on a couple of different recipe sites, but am having no luck, so thought I'd try here.
My daughter said it's the best soup she's ever had, so I'd actually like to find the exact one for selfish reasons! lol
Recipe included:
Cabbage
Sausage
Carrots
Vinegar
Dillweed
Gingersnaps
and Cranraisins.
If anybody has or finds the recipe, would you post it?
Thanks!

RE: how early is to early

Ditto on the above...leave as early as you need to, just do all of the "packing" the night before, in the morning, just disconnect and go.
I'm careful about closing RV and truck doors gently and keeping the voices down.

Stayed at Diamond Lake a couple of years ago, wasn't bad...

RE: Duramax LLY Overheating

:D And when you all loaded with mis-/dis-information, go get a Cummins.:W
And be sure to get a spare tranny in the deal!!
Man, I love uninformed people that keep harping on the dodge trans, when the last weak one they used was the 47re that they stopped using in '02! lol
...and I'm not trying to pick a fight, I own a Dodge, but I think any of the big 3 are equally as good as the other, just hate mis-information.

RE: What else can be done with turkey fryer pot?

Use the burner for real stir fry with a wok a la Alton Brown.
A man after my own heart!
There's no way to "properly" stir-fry without huge btu's...it's darn near the only thing I do with my turkey-fryer burner.

RE: It's true about Teton...

Sorry to hear about this, but I'm actually a bit surprised that Teton lasted as long as they did.
A year ago when we were in the market for a top line 5th wheel, for a time Teton was among our list of potential candidates.
However, after visiting the factory last fall, and looking more deeply into their price and value for the dollar, we quickly crossed them off our list.
It was easy for us to see they just didn't stack up in a number of respects with a number of other 5th wheel manufacturers (quality included), were WAY overpriced for what you got, and had a number of manufacturing problems.
John

RE: It's true about Teton...

One of the reasons on Tetons problems is people can't get loans to buy one. If you are going fulltime and are looking at a $100K + 5er do you need to get a loan?
...No offense, but not true...I'm forty-one, have an above average (but not excellent) credit score, don't own a "home" or property, and earn a 30-ish annual income, and I got approved with zero money down, and got a great interest rate.
If you travel fulltime with your job, and it's not a retirement rig, then yes, sometimes you do need to get a loan :)

RE: winter living in 5th wheel

I spent two winters in our previous fifth-wheel, weekend warrior, no heated tanks, exposed underbelly etc.
Skirting does absolute wonders in the cold, you'd be surprised...skirt it good, put a big floodlamp or space heater in the tank area.

It's true about Teton...

Called them myself this morning...doors are closed, all warranties null and void (direct quote).
Sorry Teton owners, I think this is all my fault...just moved up from a weekend warrior 4 months ago...I must be cursed!
